I am a subscriber to Radio and 365 and I decided today to search for Filipino music. I was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA but my dad who recently passed, always taught us about our culture and who Filipinos are. He used to play this type of music when I was growing up. I was raised on this music from the time I was tot to about 16. Then of course I was teenager and got hooked on the music of that day. But I can tell you, it never leaves you.  I cannot even begin to tell  you how it fed my soul today and just touched my heart. The melodies….. tell of a time long ago. How beautiful. Thank you for bringing out the joy and the memories of a good time while listening to this music.

May the Lord Bless all of you who love are heritage please continue doing your wonderful mission of making alive and sharing to the world our very own Kundiman.  I'm 20 Years old now I have been a certified Kundiman lover  since High School. Thanks again, and I will love Kundiman up to the last....

Inang at 95 is homebound in Muncie, USA.  She live the memories of my befallen father, a guerilla for the United States Infantry.  We are survivors from our father's lost, yet  success  has paid its price.  We both  love listenning to Kundiman. I left PI in the 70's. Its  love triangle between our bayan and US since our love ones are in both sides. The kundiman not only reflect our past, and ties  the days ahead. Long live our music of enduring and bittersweet memories so we live on.  I wish our young generation learn more about their forefathers, it is our treasure to discover who we are. We  came from inhabitants of many foreign  that occupies our land. We embrace who we are. Our culture is entertwined, we are Pilipinos and still Pilipinos. Hanggang sa dugong nananalantay Pilipino parin  tayo. Respect our elders it is instilled from our values. I have to accept growing older with grace. All these message are written while listenning to one of my many favorite,  Ruben Tagalog inspirational songs. Thank you for all the beautiful music. Inang is mesmerizing all those music, the harana , rondalla, kundiman, came out from nowhere but classical ph. You made her day, mine as well blossomed and blissfull!!!  God Bless

I am an American that lived in the Philippines for almost 18 years. I lived in Angeles City, Pampanga. My wife is a Pampangenia. I am so very happy to listen to all the old classical Filipino Songs. Maraming Pong Salamat.

Az Carraga

This is by far the best station. Shame on ABS-CBN or GMA that they don't even have any program like this in their program line-up abroad. Thank you.

Florante A, California

Thank you for having my CD the Art of Harana on your website. I am very glad to find fellow individuals or organization who share the passion for the old kundiman and haranas.

I just wanted to mention to you the documentary film we are shooting currently in the Philippines called Harana. It is generating buzz and support both in the US and the Philippines. Please watch our tailer as well. Here is the site. http://www.haranathemovie.com

I am not a Filipino but have always loved traditional Filipino music. Thank you for providing ii to us via the Internet. It's such a relief from the bland American-inspired pop stuff that inundates us everywhere these days.

To the guys behind this wonderful initiative:

Please feature cuts from the "Kundiman: Philippine Art Songs" album of Jonathan Zaens. He's a Filipino bass baritone based in Berlin. If you Google his name, you'll come across materials about him and the album. In one popular arts and culture blog, one can listen to several songs from the album.  I hope you consider this suggestion positively. One in your advocacy to share to the world the best that the Philippines can offer.

My Lolo had me listening to kundiman music every night when I was young. Unfortunately, we were not able to preserve his collections when he passed away.  I really missed these kind of music and just did not know how I can experience them again until I chanced on your broadcast via Shoutcast.  You are not only heaven sent to us listeners but also artists like Florante Aguilar and Lori Abucayan. I was so impressed by their music but I never heard of them before.  Googled them and found out that these are young people and they are based in the US! WOW!  To cut the story short from their websites I got linked to CD Baby, and purchased some of their CDs.  Now I can listen to my kind of music while driving to work which I do a lot.

I hope CD Baby sends some help your way to keep you going. By the way my wife Leila is now hooked to you too. I got her to listen to your station when you played a Nora Aunor song (she's a long time fan!) and now she's stucked.Mabuhay ang Classical Philippines Radio!!! Saludo ako sa inyo!!!

Ray, Philippines

I would like to thank you for setting this up. My Mom and Dad loved it so well, that we played this everyday all day long on our small "carenderia"... And got a lot of good comments on the music... Its so Pilipino classic! Now, i even put the apps on my iPhone. Mabuhay po kayo at pagpalain ng Maykapal!

R. Sinson, Jr

Dr. C,  Oregon

My wife and I are, at the moment, listening to CLASSICAL PHILIPPINE RADIO in Lincoln City, Oregon, and greatly enjoying the results of what obviously has been a great labor of love!  It would be of interest to learn a bit about the history and personalities behind the effort.

Juan S.

Maraming salamat for promoting our very own Filipino music.   I noticed in your "Library" that  the name Juan Silos Jr. is not in the list.  I'll give you samples of his recordings from my own collection so you can play them here. Is that okay?

I. Andres

Hi Admin. I also did not close my Media Player while you play Danilo Santos 's recordings and Tony Miranda's terrible voice but that does not mean I like their interpretation of Kundiman songs. To be more considerate you can ask your listeners (thru a poll or whatever..you have their email addresses naman) if they would like hear these singers and their songs being played here.  Salamat nga pala at meron ganitong website though your choice of singers is not that good. I'm saying these things so you can improve your website more. Salamat at mabuhay ka!

I. Andres

Maraming salamat at mabuhay ang classicalph!

R. Simbol 7/27/08
