From Jerome Larson: The Vacaville city council is meeting on Tuesday, November 11 at 7pm regarding the purchase by the city of the Vacaville Ice Sports Building. Like last weeks hearing at the Redevelopment Agency we need to show up in force. Edith who narrowly missed out on qualifying for the European Championships [...] Here’s the article from Vacaville Reporter: The city of Vacaville is floating the idea of spending $6.7 million to purchase the Vacaville Ice Sports building. Money to purchase the 90,000-square-foot building, where the city already leases one-third of the space, would come from redevelopment funds and no money would be spent from the General Fund, said [...] From Jerome Larson It appears that the City of Vacaville is considering purchasing Vacaville Ice Sports. If they do there is the possibility that they may want to remove one of the ice surfaces. And if they do that there would be no room for Wine Country Curling. There is an open hearing regarding the issues [...] Edith Loudon (Crush 2008 champion) is set to challenge Kelly Wood for the right to represent Scotland in the Women’s European Championship in Sweden.
